Transport

Blackpool is easily accessible from all parts of Great Britain with the M55 linking the town with the M6 and the country's motorway network.

It is connected to the main railway network through a speedy shuttle service to Preston where there are regular train services along the west coast and to London and Manchester.

Blackpool boasts its own airport situated just 2½ miles from the town centre with a terminal building capable of handling over 1,000,000 passengers per year. There are scheduled services to Dublin, the Isle of Man, Belfast, Gerona, Alicante, Murcia, Faro, Ibiza and Majorca along with charter services to Jersey and other European destinations. The airport has recently been sold to Balfour Beatty who Intend to grow the routes and passenger numbers.
